Certainty is not what you think. When you have certainty in the right thing, the journey becomes joyful and delightful, and YOU become unstoppable!
How do you redesign your life when you feel like nothing is going your way? Where do you get that certainty to make decisions?
More importantly, how do you get the courage to act on those divine nudges? In this episode, I share my journey between two conferences and all the things I learned in between.
From letting go to believing in miracles, this is a story of how I found certainty and how you can get this superpower too.
The Conference That Wasn’t and How I Handled It
During our financial freefall, I got an opportunity to speak at a conference. It was a hefty financial investment, but it was presented to me as a conference with 500 people attending. Not just any people, but my ideal clients.
It was a high ticket conference, but after I did the math, I realized this could solve all of our financial problems. I knew the strategy would win. Actually, I was banking everything on this strategy working.
I worked diligently on my presentation and I practiced it dozens of times. But when we got there, we found that there were 12 people in the audience. The third day was canceled. It turned out that the producers only ever sold 100 tickets and lacked integrity.
Needless to say, I came home devastated. This was the nudge that I had followed. I had done my part. I had done everything that I could do. I showed up powerfully and I was crushed. This was our Hail Mary and it failed.
While I was sobbing in my bed, I remembered something that I had read by Wallace Wattles. He said that if you do everything right and things still fall apart, that means God has overruled your desire and something better is coming your way.
So I asked myself: “Did I do my part? Yes, I did my part. Did I follow what I thought was prompting and inspiration? Yes, I did. Well, then this means God has something better in store for me.” I had no idea what it would be, but I trusted it.
There was no use being upset anymore. It was all said and done. What else does God have in store for us?
And within just 12 hours, my aunt called letting me know I would get a part of my inheritance. That check was enough to get us to Hawaii and cover some other expenses, but it didn’t stop the freefall we were in. Still, that was the moment I developed certainty.
This Is What Certainty Is and What It Most Definitely Isn’t
Most of us think that certainty is confidence, that firm conviction that something is going to happen. We have certainty in the strategy, this must work. I was certain the conference would work.
But, this is not the certainty that we’re after. If we want to make certainty our superpower, the certainty that you want to have is that everything always works out for you.
The certainty that you must have is that no matter how it plays out, you get what you want. That’s the certainty. Everything always works out for you. It can come in an infinite number of ways. You don’t care how it comes. And you don’t care when it comes. All you know is that it will come.
That is the certainty that I’m talking about. That is the certainty that allows you to have joy in the journey. If everything always works out for you, it allows you to stop micromanaging the journey.
We don’t like the journey because we don’t want to relinquish control. We try to change conditions and circumstances by working just with conditions and circumstances. What we should do instead is change the cause. We need to transform the way we think.
The Method I Used To Find Certainty and How You Can Do It Too
First and foremost, you decide that everything works out for you. Everything without fail, without exception, everything always works out for you.
The second part is to understand that the solution can come in a variety of ways. You don’t know how or when, but you’ll get what you want.
Then, you follow those inspired nudges that happen every once in a while. Inspired action is a necessary piece in manifesting and redesigning your reality.
We can’t just sit in our chairs and wait for things to happen. Our reality is not going to redesign itself, not if you want it to consistently redesign. You have to be part of that process.
But what happens when you follow a nudge and it doesn’t work out? I followed my intuition and let me down. But did it?
In the grand scheme of things, no, it didn’t. It actually led me to a critical piece in the manifesting puzzle for me. If you still didn’t get what you want, that means you need to stay on the path.
How To Start Manifesting Your Dreams on a Consistent Basis
So I had the certainty that I could trust those nudges because I let it all play out and I saw how it all worked. A few months later, I went to another conference in Orlando. I made a deal with God that I would follow the nudges.
At this point, we were filing bankruptcy, but I decided, if I felt a nudge to purchase anything, I would do it. We had no money, we had no credit, but I knew God would show me the way.
During the three days of the conference, I actually didn’t feel compelled to purchase anyone’s program. There was one speaker who presented a program that would solve all of my problems, but I didn’t feel that spiritual tapping on my shoulder. I somehow knew this wasn’t it.
And then the last speaker of the conference showed up and came across that stage. She started talking and she was electrifying. She was honest, she was transparent. She spoke to my heart and at that moment, I knew she would be my next coach. I heard that divine voice: “You need to work with her. You need what she has to offer.”
Now, I was under the impression that all of the guest speakers were offering right around the same price point. Up until then, everybody had offers in the range of $1.000. We didn’t have a lot of money, but I knew I could swing a thousand.
But with her, God wanted me to grow. She rolled out her offer and it was $3.500. It was a group retreat and it didn’t include travel, food, or accommodation. This was a $4.000 investment when all was said and done.
Talk about stomach twisting! I just didn’t know how we were going to do that. And yet, that’s what I was instructed to do. Whatever she offers, say yes to it. I need it. I’m ready for it. So I took that order form. I filled it out. I had no credit cards. I put my debit card number on there, I marched back to her table, slapped it down in front of her. And I told her: “You need to give me a couple of weeks to get the money for this.”
Her retreat wasn’t for several months, so I had a little bit of time. I didn’t know how I would get there, but I had the certainty and I knew I could trust my intuition. Because I followed the nudges, God would provide a way and give me my miracle.
Within two weeks, we had the money. That’s the gift that certainty gives you. And this retreat? Well, it led to bigger miracles and bigger leaps. It led to quantum leaps in very real and very practical ways.
An Exercise That Will Show You the Path To God and Divine Certainty
Start where you are and know that everything always works out for you. The solution can come in a variety of ways. God knows what is best for you. And if your way doesn’t quite mesh with God’s way, and it doesn’t work out in the way that you envision it, stay on that path.
Stay in that certainty and know down that this just means something better is headed your way.

Start looking at all of the ways that God shows up in your life, especially the small ways. Where do you see God’s fingerprints in your life? Is it in a blue sky? Is it in comfort from a friend when you need comfort? Is it from a message on a billboard or a bumper sticker or a random song on the radio? Those are all ways that heaven communicates with you to let you know that you’re not alone, that you can trust in God and trust in heaven.
