It’s time. You can feel it. The price tag of staying where you are is more than the cost of changing. Yes, there will be sacrifices involved–like sacrificing your boredom and complacency, for starters–but the very definition of sacrifice is giving up something good in favor of something better. Is that really a sacrifice then?
You’ve tried normal for a long time. Like Dave Ramsey says, “Normal is broke.” Normal will get you more of what you’re already experiencing: lack, scarcity, fear. Normal means usual, regular. It’s time to try the unusual, the irregular.
So where do you start? Start by taking a deep breath. Ask yourself what you really want. Ignore all the “yeah buts” in your head and just let your inner voice come out. And trust that voice. Trust that this voice, the quiet voice that whispers you can do this–you were born to do this– will tell you where to step. And then step there!
The hardest part of my journey on this new path was actually trusting my voice and stepping on the path. The actual journey has been sooo much easier than getting on the path! And that struggle was due to my doubt in my inner voice. Has the journey been hard? At times. But the cost of living authentically is a whole lot loser than it ever was when I denied my inner voice.
Try it. You just might like it.
