A quick exercise to connect with your intuition.
Something I allowed to block me for many years was confusion around knowing whether it was my “higher self” speaking to me, or me just pretending it was my higher self speaking.
My mentor, Carolyn Cooper, taught me a really easy, cool way to start tuning in to your intuition.
Get a little steno notepad and carry it around with you for a week. Every time you hear a neutral thought (like “send so and so a text or email” or “take a blanket to work with you today”) or a positive thought, write it down. Don’t write down any negative thoughts. Those come from your ego or “shadow” side and are there to keep you stuck.
Do your best to follow the instructions your thoughts give you, even if they don’t make sense at the time. Check off each of those things you do, to see how often you obey that thought.
After a week of doing this, you’ll start to recognize more and more when your intuition speaks to you, and HOW it speaks to you. It’s very encouraging, is rarely forceful in its instruction, and you’ll start to see how it guides you every day.
The more you get into action, the faster you’ll learn to recognize and trust your own intuition. And THEN things start to open up and get really fun!
Try this and post your discoveries below.
I have what I call my “coincidence list.” If something comes up several times over the course of a day or a few times in a few days. I take note. The universe is surely trying to draw my attention to it.
I love that Laura! Thank you for sharing. Keep paying attention and act!
