Most people are really good at thinking about what they want their life to look like. And most people stop right there. And that’s where they stay stuck. Having something brought to you and receiving it are two completely different things.
As I pondered on the difference between these two things, a picture came to my mind. I have my mail brought to my mailbox six days a week. But I don’t receive my mail until I walk out to my mailbox and pick up the mail! Action is what causes me to receive the mail. So, know that your thoughts are extremely powerful in bringing you what you want. But in order to receive them, you must take action so they will appear in your experience.
Wallace D. Wattles says, “When things reach you, they will be in the hands of other men, who will ask an equivalent for them. And you can only get what is yours by giving the other man what is his….Do not wait for a change of environment before you act; get a change of environment by action. You can so act upon the environment in which you are now, as to cause yourself to be transferred to a better environment.”
When what you’re wanting is brought to you (say a new car), it usually comes in the form of an opportunity (like working more hours, or taking on another job, or selling something). And if you act upon that opportunity, it usually causes that thing to manifest for you.

Action is the most important piece to the puzzle! Great article!
Yes, I love your analogy. Thanks for sharing.
Great article Allyson, action is the key most people miss. It’s a process. Our thoughts control our feelings, our feelings dictate our actions and our actions produce our results. I wrote a post similar to this on my own blog. Keep up the great work.
