Let’s dive in!
Struggling With Money
Before starting her journey to prosperity, Elyse was in the sales industry for ten years – first in corporate sales, and then she went out on her own as a sales coach. And she always did well. You know, making low six figures, having a lovely house, a nice car… all those things people would call a good life.
But no matter what strategy she used (and as a sales coach, she knew all the strategies), her income didn’t budge beyond the $100k-$120k a year mark. Additionally, although she looked successful on the outside, she was actually struggling with crippling anxiety for years.
During that period, Elyse was suffering from an eating disorder, was in an unhealthy relationship, and constantly feared the money would go away. She had money, it was there, but she was torturing herself with questions like:
- Can I rely on it to be here next month?
- What if I spend all of it?
- What if it all goes away?
But at one point, it finally dawned on her: Maybe I don’t need a better strategy. Maybe it’s all about how I’m thinking about it! That was when she decided to do whatever it takes to dive deeply into the power of belief systems and figure out how to rewire her brain for success.
She committed to finding a different way and shifting her belief system around money to show up differently for her family. And then her journey started (and, among other things, it included going through the Prosperity Approach program).
Three Weeks of Pure Hell
The program helped her understand (on a deeper level) what was going on. She started diving into the science of abundance and found out that she hadn’t felt worthy of more money.
No strategy or a lack of it was the reason she wasn’t making more money. She just didn’t feel worthy of making seven figures. The amount felt too big to her. As she says, that was a kind of constant not-enoughness.
Of course, Elyse didn’t just wake up one day and decide she was enough. That was a process. But it wasn’t too long! As she practiced feeling worthy of the money, she went from $100k a year to $100k a month in literally six weeks. And she’s continued to grow!
How did she manage to make such a quantum leap?
Part of that process was investing significantly in mentoring. She invested half of her yearly income in a couple of mentors. And that was the moment when she literally burnt the bridges behind her and said, I’m doing this no matter what.
It wasn’t easy at the beginning. (Yeah, it’s always awkward before it’s elegant.) In the first three weeks, Elyse faced every money demon she had.
I talked to her during that period. She was like, “There’s this new mentor… who halved my yearly income…” I just asked her, “But what’s your heart telling you?” And her heart was saying it was the right thing to do.
When you make those game-changing decisions, it’s essential to surround yourself with people who believe in your chosen path instead of those who live in fear of money themselves. The people around you need to remind you of what’s the truth.
The scarcity is not actually the truth. What’s the truth is the prosperity, abundance, and limitless supply.
She Knew the Money Would Come
So, listen to what your heart is telling you. It will always guide you in the right direction. Elyse’s journey proves that.
Those scary three weeks were full of:
- What did I do!?
- I put my family in financial ruin!
- facing all other money demons
But she also started studying money and belief systems, doing a lot of abundance meditation, and practicing the feelings of worthiness in her body. She spent a lot of time imagining what it would be like to be a woman who makes seven figures.
And after about three weeks of shifting the limiting beliefs and embodying the woman she wanted to be, she started to feel better (although nothing had changed in her physical world).
Of course, she didn’t spend the next three weeks sitting on a meditation cushion all day. The days were filled with frantic hustling action and reaching out to potential clients for a new group program she was launching. (See, the masculine – doing – supported the feminine – being.)
Elyse knew money would come because she felt better. And it started coming after about three weeks of feeling whole and worthy, almost like a cherry on top. But the very income wasn’t the prize – her feeling was the prize. The money was just a mirror of who she became.
And what’s the best part – she didn’t feel she was pushing. It was rather an aligned and expansive action because she did things different from what she had done before. In a way, it was pushing the limits of her belief systems.
However, we’ll never be rid of limiting beliefs because we’re constantly expanding and growing – there’s no endpoint. So be prepared that it won’t necessarily be comfortable every time you take steps to the next level of success.
But the point is to grow. And to make necessary shifts in the process!
