The Law of Attraction – Disney Edition

Before I started teaching The Prosperity Approach, I didn’t believe in the law of attraction. It was a favorite topic that everyone kept talking about, but I couldn’t figure it out myself. Until one time, when my husband and I took a vacation in Disneyland for our wedding anniversary, things changed.

You may be manifesting your desires the wrong way as I did before, but you don’t have to fall into that same pit anymore. So join me as I talk about my first ever encounter with the law of attraction and how it worked for me when I approached it differently.

I Didn’t Understand the Law of Attraction

“As within, so without.”

“Birds of the same feather, flock together.”

“What you send out comes back.”

These are only a few of the cliche statements tied up to one of the most popular universal laws.

Remember when The Law of Attraction caught the world’s attention? This universal law has been around for a long time, but the book called “The Secret” gave it its popularity back then.

One exercise it encourages us to do is visualize by thinking about something and repetitively seeing it in our minds. I tried this with something as simple as a butterfly.

Except that I was living just outside of Salt Lake, Utah, and it was January. It was simply impossible to find any butterfly anywhere! All the logical thinking wrecked the experience for me. Back then, I didn’t understand that a butterfly could come in the form of a tattoo, a decal, a photo, a book, anything!

I did not understand it back then, and I made it more complicated than it had to be. You see, I knew about the law, but I didn’t know how to do it.

Experimenting the Famous Law

I read a book that was all about the law of attraction and this time, the approach was a little different. The author encouraged us to manifest without being too tied up to the outcome. The mindset was to be okay even if your goal did not come for you.

That was exactly what I planned on doing for our 15th wedding anniversary. Our family was still in a tight financial situation, but I needed a break! Where’s a more magical place to stay than the place that creates magic itself? We were going to have a memorable time together at Disney World!

So what did I hope for there? I wanted to be on my favorite rides without spending too much time on the line and have some behind-the-scenes experiences.

Of course, I had no idea how to do that. I had no extra money to pay for any behind-the-scenes opportunities, nor did I know any connections to help us ride without lining up.

All I knew was that I wanted that, and I had no idea how to get it. The reason why it felt easy is that, as the book suggested, I didn’t care.

Mini Miracles in Disneyland

Now here’s where things really start to shift. On our last night in Disney World, we lined up for Tower of Terror. Ahead of us in the line were two ladies who were loud enough for me to hear and know that they were both cast members.

At this point, my husband and I got curious if cast members like them still liked being in Disney World even if they stayed there all the time? Did they ever get sick of this place? I leaned in and asked them myself.

“We’re having a day off, and we’re still here enjoying the place. It’s a lot more magical when you’re a cast member!”

That was definitely an answer I could imagine myself saying if I were in their shoes, too! I love Disney World so much that even lining up didn’t matter. As cast members, they know a lot more about the place. They tell us how The Tower of Terror has a rare ride where you get one extra lift and fall, and I’ve been to Disney World frequently enough to tell you that I’ve never tried that.

Guess what? That was precisely what we got to experience!

On top of that, we also had a special fast pass on Rock and Rollers (still thanks to these ladies), and we were able to get on the ride after lining up for only five minutes.

On Epcot, the ladies also boasted about how the center seats on Soarin were the best. And yes, that’s exactly where we were assigned to sit. Our last night in Disney World turned out to be more magical than I ever thought it would be!

Manifesting Consciously, Getting the Answers Unconsciously

Right now, you would think that I was in total awe about getting what I manifested. But that was not the case. I didn’t realize it was the law of attraction working for me until we already got home!

I got to the best Disney World vacation I ever had without a lot of money, connections, or any other resources. It struck me that I was the one who manifested all of that and I got them without even knowing how I did it!

Waiting for Your Miracle?

Although the entire experience was just my husband and me having fun in Disney World, I can never discount the fact that what we experienced were all mini-miracles. The best part about miracles is that they stride with us along the way. Miracles are in the journey, not in the destination.

Hopefully, this has been helpful to you. I’m one with you in manifesting your goals, so come join the community because we would love to hear your own encounter with the law of attraction. I’m excited to talk about the other universal laws with you in the next episodes!
