“You have to learn to trust (your intuition).. If you listen to it more frequently than your justification, your life will start to explode with external results which mirror your inner leaps. You will become connected to yourself and you will stop people pleasing, doubting, being addicted to everything, etc.” –Kyle Cease
I used to think I didn’t have any intuition. I could never tell the difference between me just talking to myself and those inner nudges either cautioning me or moving me forward. It wasn’t until I ACTED on that nudge that I realized–hey! I totally have intuition! This is a Divine gift given to everyone on this planet. But like every gift divinely given, it’s up to us to develop and use that gift if we’re going to grow.
Developing intuition takes trust; you can’t see the end of where that nudge is leading you. What if (enter something horrifying here)? How can I (justification here)? But, as Kyle Cease says, “If you ignore it, you will get your “a” kicked until you jump.” That was what happened to me. I ignored those nudges for years, justifying away why I couldn’t leave my business and start over in energy work, nevermind the fact that I was so unhappy and unfulfilled in that business–we needed to eat, for crying out loud! But late 2012 I jumped. And all last year I jumped, and fell, and jumped again a little higher, and still higher. And we ate every day, and seven months after I started that jump we’re making more money now than we ever have before. So yeah, I’m a big proponent of trusting your intuition and doing what it tells you to do.
Kyle says following your intuition is scary for 10 seconds and then more rewarding than you will ever understand. It was scary a little longer than 10 seconds for me, but it has absolutely been more rewarding than I could ever understand before I jumped. And I’m just getting started! Start where YOU’RE at. The reward comes AFTER the jump.
Jumping is scarey, and I wish it was for only 10 seconds. But the key is to push through the fear. You may need to close your eyes or curl up and cry once in a while, but I am learning that jumping is good … REALLY GOOD!
“The reward comes after the jump.” I love that statement. Thank you for your insight, Allyson.
I Love this! And you’re such a great writer! I always enjoy reading your posts! 🙂
