In A Few Words…

For the past few years, I’ve been sharing quotes and inspirational messages in my newsletter and via social media. I’ve tried to provide some thought provoking words of wisdom, inspiration, encouragement, and occasional humor, from sources all around the world. Many of them are about miracles, inspired action, or challenges that we face in creating our own miraculous lives.

I’ve pulled a few of my favorites (in no particular order) to share again; and added a few more for good measure. If you look carefully you might see hints of inspiration for some of the summits and events that I’ve created over the years. If you take the time to think about each one, even for a few seconds, there are some powerful lessons that we can learn from others.

I hope you enjoy them.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
― Albert Einstein

“You have to see the miracles for there to be miracles.”
― Jandy Nelson

“I am realistic – I expect miracles.”
― Wayne W. Dyer

“Miracles don’t happen. You make them happen. They’re not wishes or dreams or candles on a cake. They’re not impossible. Reality is real. It’s totally and completely under my control.”
― Julie Anne Peters

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.”
— Paulo Coelho

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
— Martin Luther King Jr.

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
— Viktor E. Frankl

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
— Marianne Williamson

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
— Eckhart Tolle

“Plant seeds of happiness, hope, success, and love; it will all come back to you in abundance. This is the law of nature.”
— Steve Maraboli

“The only time you fail is when you fall down and stay down.”
— Stephen Richards

“Today expect something good to happen to you no matter what occurred yesterday. Realize the past no longer holds you captive. It can only continue to hurt you if you hold on to it. Let the past go. A simply abundant world awaits.”
— Sarah Ban Breathnach

“Start calling yourself healed, happy, whole, blessed, and prosperous. Stop talking to God about how big your mountains are, and start talking to your mountains about how big your God is!”
— Joel Osteen

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”
— Anne Bradstreet
